Wow looking back through my journal history is sad. It's littered with "Back Again" or "It's been awhile" titles.

It's been a long time since I've been on here. I hate to use the cliche "Life Happens" but it does. It's sad to see my last journal with all the happiness that my dog was on the mend knowing now what lay ahead of us. Shortly after that entry Gins contracted MRSA ([link]) from the surgery. It's a horrible bacterial infection that we fought with 3grams of antibiotics a day for 6 months. After a 2nd surgery to remove all the metal in Gins' leg and finally killing the bacteria about mid Jan. I'm happy to say he's had a full recovery. This has been my year. After finally beating the MRSA we began the slow process of rebuilding his strength and muscle in the affected leg. For the most part he's back to normal with just a slight difference in his walk....but to see a spring in his step after so much pain....

If you've made it this far, congratulations! That's been my year. I'm not going to guarantee daily updates but I'll try to be on more and be a bit more social...I'm still amazed at the quality of work in my Deviations Inbox.

All the best!
